UL flex cables are commonly used in applications where flexibility, low losses and high mechanical strength are required. ‘UL’ stands for Underwriters Laboratories, an organisation that sets safety standards for electrical products. ‘Flex’ is a cable that consists of many thin wires that are insulated and twisted together.
Note: Due to the generally thicker insulation, not all connectors for DIN cables are suitable for UL wires.
